A Benevolent Gift

A Benevolent Gift
Benevolent Gift, 2006,
Janis Miltenberger (Right)
Gil Rose and Stan Russell state, "Family is an important part of our lives. Legacy is important to us as well. We believe that art lives on better when it is shared with the larger family the museum represents. That's the philosophy that led us to bequeath The Benevolent Gift to the museum."

"Inspired by the Lino Tagliapetra Glass Exhibit in 2009, we started to research a major piece of glass for our own home. That led us to Janis Miltenberger and her amazing piece in lamp-worked glass. In discussions with the artist it was suggested we might offer this work to the museum. The bequest program worked to achieve all our goals. I think the title of this piece is befitting its future placement with the museum."
